There’s only one way to succeed, and that’s to do the fuckin’ work! There is no shortcut or magic way. No ”one month to success”. There’s only hard work along with consistency and discipline.

Are you giving it your ALL today? If not you better start right now! Not tomorrow, not next week, not later or after this particular thing in your life. All those ”soon” are just excuses and lies you’re telling yourself. So start right now to chase your dream.

The road to greatness is continuously painful for long time. Greatness requires sacrifices and there is no sacrifice without pain. The kind of sacrifices required for greatness is the ones that make the process continuously painful for long time. If you want to be good it will be painful only every now and then, and many people can still handle it. But being great is a totally different level. The pain is much deeper and it is continuous. Very few people can endure this kind of pain and that’s why there are very few great people. Most people naturally choose things that bring pleasures to them. It’s unnatural to choose pain over pleasure, let alone doing it continuously for long time.

What do you choose? The easy road with temporary pleasure leading to regret in end of the road. Or are you taking the hard road filled with pain and obstacles on the way but greatness in the end of it?

2019 is coming to an end and 2020 is around the corner. It’s the time of the year everyone sets new goals and make promises to themselves for a better life and make plans how to achieve their dream. All the gyms are full in January of people who are pumped to follow their promise of training more, take care of themselves etc. And that’s great right? Yes and no. Why? Because most of the people can’t follow their plan, they are not serious about it. After two weeks in February you can see how the gyms gets emptier and emptier, people who quit because this wasn’t for them, it required discipline and consistency, it’s hard to do it day after day, they don’t have the time, hanging out with friends was more fun and more important. This is the average and mediocre ones. But that’s NOT you!

Take a pen and a paper and write down your plan for the year. Start big with your end goal. What do you want to achieve? Whatever it is, find out what you have to do to accomplish it. Make research, reach out to people who have knowledge and experience in the particular area. When you’ve done that, make smaller plans. Monthly plans, weekly plans and daily plans.

And the important part in all this, you really have to decide that your plan is the most important thing, and nothing can get in the way of it. It’s going to demand huge focus from you. You’re going to have to do sacrifices. Nothing comes for free. It’s all about hard work, discipline and consistency. Discipline to follow your plan and consistency to do it day in and day out. No matter what party your friends are going to, no matter what’s on the telly, no matter what anyone says to you or think about you. No matter what! And I promise you, your brain is going to try to trick you. Try to trick you to skip that workout ‪on Saturday night‬ and hit the club instead, to skip that healthy meal and eat a pizza instead. And it’s going to try to justify it with excuses that sounds good and fair at the moment. “Just today”, “you’re worth it”, “you need a day off”. All this is just a lie, because the brain is wired to take the path of least resistance. Don’t let it!

@davidgoggins is a absolute savage! A retired Navy Seal and the only member of the U.S. Armed Forces to complete SEAL training (including two Hell Weeks), the U.S. Army Ranger School (where he graduated as Enlisted Honor Man) and Air Force Tactical Air Controller training, TACP. Goggins has also completed more than 60 ultra-marathons – many of them involving running more than 100 miles – and had the Guinness World Record for pull-ups, having completed 4,030 in 17 hours.

In a interview Goggins talking about a great suggestion of how to breaking a habit of constantly making excuses, and that is to do something every day that sucks. He’s talking about a saying that says ”Tripple down on your strenghts”. ”Tripling down on your strenghts does one thing to you, makes you very comfortable. It makes you very strong at what you’re good at. So, why people has excuses is that’s the world they live in. They live in a world where if they’re good at running all they do is run. If they’re good at reading all they do is read. So the excuse world comes up, it’s because when the world, life doesn’t give a damn about what your’re good at. It’s just going to put challenges in front of you. So when a challenge comes up that you’re not great at, the first thing the whole ”Triple down on your strengths” mentality does is, it forces you to say ”I’m not good at it, so I’m not going to do it.” Versus saying: ”I’m not good at it. I’m going to be GREAT at it! I’m going to figure it out. I’m going to put the work in!” That’s how you start to callus your mind. The excuses that we’re making are just because were not good at it so it makes us feel insecure. It makes us feel a certain way. That’s why I tell everybody that you can’t fix anything in life until you fix YOURSELF!

So, go out and do something that sucks every day! What are you going to do today?!

Christmas Eve is here, a day to spend with family and loved ones. But before you do that, make sure to put in the work! A holiday is no excuse for taking the day off. Remember your goal and why you started. Make sure to earn all that christmas food!

And give a thought to all our warriors out there on deployment. Not having the opportunity to spend this day at home with family because they’re out there fighting for our freedom.

Okey, new week new opportunities! Make sure to set your goals for the week. Both big and small goals. Everything from your training, nutrition and sleep to your behavior against others, your thinking and attitude. Then, and this is important, take one bite at a time. Do not put all your focus on the finish line because then you might think it’s to far away. Focus on where you are right now. Just like when you’re gonna climb a mountain, one step at a time.

And maybe the most important things to achieve your goals, discipline and consistency! Discipline helps you make the right choice for your goals today, then tomorrow, then the next day, and so you become consistent in your behavior. Discipline and consistency go hand in hand.

So, set your goals for the week and write down what you have to do to achieve them and follow the plan no matter what!
